What you saw last night was not the Sharks at half speed – that was the Sharks firing at almost full capacity. If Garon didn’t stand on his head, the score would have been 6-0. Last night was a great sign that San Jose could be coming into their own at the right time.

I love the trade for Jody Shelley. This team needs a player like this to do the dirty work so Murray and Bernier can concentrate on playing solid. I think Mike is going to write more about Shelley later today.

This team kills people even when they are playing half speed. They completely dismantled my Oilers last night and made them look like an AHL franchise.

Now the question is how often will RW have him on his bench and, when he does, how many minutes dies he see? I think he has no points this season but a buttload of PMs.

Keep an eye out in the next few games on the Sharks forwards and their fore checking. There’s been talks about RW starting to let them push things and open up the game more than he has so far this season. St. Louis was a good display of this. It’s time to the let horses run and not drag that defensive plow.

I suspect that you guys will get a good Cheechoo the remainder of the year, based on two nonsensical reasons:

a) Now that Teemu’s back in Anaheim, it only makes sense that Cheechoo is “back” in SJ, if only for the silly “Cheechoo/Teemu” song.

b) Now that my fantasy team is pretty much dead (thanks, Cheech!), he’ll probably play his brains out.
