Re Martin, he was often injured with the Pens. I don’t think his not playin* is anything but not being 100%. He likely played the 4 conditioning assignment games but re-aggravated his injury.
Well, guess I was wrong to give DW the benefit of the doubt. With the D struggling this bad, and Burns lost without his binky, I never dreamed the Sharks would actually have him at 7 or 8 on the depth chart. I just assumed he was hurt. Crazy to think they’re not going to put a health Martin back in as Burns’ partner after the pairing won Burns the Norris and he’s now a team worst -18.
DW is not do bad. Consider the Jackets gave Vegas a first and second to take Karlsson, who will score 40 goals this year as their top center. Now that’s a bad GM move.
Teams have the book on Jones – struggles in 1st period, weak glove and susceptible five hole. He needs to fix these problems fast, or that 6-year deal will look pretty awful.
Someone commented a while ago about DW’s first round picks. That would be a good topic for the dudes. FTF had a piece recently about Meier, which reminded me that DW passed up on Barzal, who is basically exactly the player the Sharks need right now. (Sigh.)
