@dudesonhockey yes! It’s here!
I have to agree with Doug on the Oilers, they could definitely be a playoff team. They have a young core that has been playing during the lock out and there is not much like youthful enthusiasm. All they need to do is get out to a great 20 game start (and this goes for any team) and even if they falter a little down the stretch they could still find themselves in a good position to make the playoffs. Are they going to do anything once there? I don’t think they have the horses but I would not for a second count them out of getting there.
As for the lock out itself, I’m still angry about it but I’m not going to turn around and punish myself now that hockey is back just to prove some point that won’t be noticed because my financial contributions to the NHL are a drop in the bucket.
I guess Doug will be enjoying a beer if you guys are right.
As for you second paragraph, I agree with Pensblog:

That’s a really good post Mike and I really agree as well. I might not run out to buy a new hat or Jersey to add to my collection but if I have to pay for Center Ice this year so be it. I’m going to watch my team play hockey. Being a Sharks fan makes this a lot easier to be honest because the Sharks were not a team that caused this to happen. If that makes me a “sheep” so be it.
Like my favorite comment on that blog post said, “thats a lot of words for not listening”!

I like Lamberts take. Forgive, but don’t ever forget.
chiming in to say agree. *IF* they can stay healthy (a big if) they could be a playoff team. if dubby/habby can play decent, and if their B- defense can keep it up, they could easily make the playoffs with the O that they have.
again, lots of if’s, but lots of potential as well. (havent we been saying that about the oil for the last few years)?
The intro this week (especially Doug’s reaction) was hilarious.
Good to have you back for good, Dudes. I still won’t spend a dime on the NHL this year, but look forward to keeping up via the pod and the occasional NBCSN game.
When are the DOH fantasy league drafts??
A strong 2nd on wanting a fantasy league return.
And a 3rd.
4th!
5th
running my mock draft now… I’m such a dork.
