Still very little happening in Sharks land. Only two small pieces of news- the additions of Steve Spott to the coaching staff, and Frazer McLaren to the Barracuda. Training camp can’t get here soon enough.

I have a question just to break the monotony…
Does anyone else believe, as I do, that excitement and interest in SJ Sharks hockey is at maybe a ten+ year low? Maybe all time low?
Does that mean anything?
It’s mixed for me. On one hand, I’m very interested in seeing how Jones plays, whether Hertl and Nieito can prove they are NHL players, if Tierney can be the third line center the franchise has needed since forever, and what the new combos are. On the other hand, I have no desire to watch Jumbo, Patty, or Burns. I also really miss Drew, apparently much more than the Dudes do. And league-wise, I’m really turned off by the NHL’s inept repose to the concussion issue and the overall inconsistency regarding disciplinary punishments. Instead, the league’s focus is on the gimmick outdoor games and expansion. All that combines to make me less interested in hockey in general, which I can’t blame solely on the Sharks. My $0.02.
That loss to the kings is what killed it for me. Imagine how the players feel, no wonder last season turned out the way it did. There was a sense of “whats the point” looming all season.
