The Sharks have sunk to almost the worst in the league, a place they haven’t been in a long long time. Given recent trades and the trajectory of the club, it might be time for the Sharks to try and get the best chance to land a generational talent.

No, I haven’t changed my opinion on the Meier trade. Far from it. Zetterland has had very little impact. In 15 games he has 3 points and is -5 despite playing 14-15 minutes per game.
Why on earth are the Sharks playing to win. They were in last place, which is first place in the Bedard / Fantilli sweepstakes. Now they’ve jumped all the way up to 29th. This is not long-term thinking. Would not have called up Bordeleau or Gushchin. Play your 3rd strong goalie. Put Vlasic out there 25 min a night. Put Viel on the top line. Even when they should be losing, they can’t seem to do the right thing.
Agree 100%. So tough to be a fan of this franchise right now.

It looks now like the Sharks have really decided to tank, but it’s too late.
I appreciate the Dudes being positive but I’m salty at this new leadership team. Burns trade yielded little. Didn’t even get a 1st round pick. Huge win for the ‘Canes. Meier trade brought us little except a conditional first and a longshot D-man. Huge win for the Devils. The vets brought in bombed this year except for Sturm. And then the team prioritizes getting EK65 his 100 points over getting pole position for Bedard. Sheer stupidity. Can’t get behind this ineptness. Maybe they will learn from their mistakes and work the Oilers to flip Ek65 for Broberg and a first. Maybe they will find a friggin’ goalie. Maybe they will change those god-awful all-teal uniforms (Sorry Mike, I know you like them). Maybe they will figure it out in the future. I’ll check back in a year or two lol.
