We’ve Gone Multimedia
June 25th, 2008, 6:55 am
To keep ourselves from getting the shakes due to lack of hockey, we finally started what we’ve threatened to do a couple of times- a podcast. It’s called (for obvious reasons) the Dudes on Hockey podcast, and it will be hosted on dudesonhockey.com. The direct link to the post is here, and on that page, you can also find a link to the podcast feed. We’re planning on releasing one of these every single week this summer, and I hope that will tide you all over until the preseason starts.
This is our first foray into the wonderful world of audio broadcasting; we’d love your feedback. You can leave comments here or send us email through the regular channels. Or, if you want a piece of the fun, send an email to questions (at) dudesonhockey.com – I guarantee we will read your email on the next podcast. Even if it’s horribly insulting and grammatically incorrect.
Oh, and the results of our Select A Seat? You’ll just have to listen to the podcast to find out.
Good job on the podcast guys. Can’t wait for the season to start.
Enjoyed the podcast. Quite elaborate with the intro and outro.
With next Tuesday being UFA season, I don’t know if you guys are going to comment on first-day signings, or wait a week, and see how most of the dominos fall. If it’s the latter, here’s a topic for you:
Were the Sharks high on the list of “losers” at this year’s draft. I know you mentioned the Islanders, but at least they were in the mix. In a deep draft, and with all the speculation about moving Patty, I’d say the Sharks were losers. No pick until the 3rd round; no freeing up of money; and the possibility of not being able to move Marleau equals poor, poor weekend.
My biggest losers of the weekend: Penguins, Sharks, and Blue Jackets.
Next week, we will be commenting on the first day of free agency, and all the hubbub that is sure to surround it. But you bring up a good point- it will be on the agenda for next week or in the coming weeks.
