Toews and Kane took it to everyone on the Sharks, but they really destroyed Couture and Clowe. Those two are on particularly poor streaks lately, even stemming before Couture was selected as an all-star. What do you guys think, is it just because they have had to play with Ferriero? Do you move a guy like Handzus (who has been a major disappointment other than his effect on McGinn) up to play with those guys? That would make for an awfully slow second line, so maybe that doesn’t work.
I could see Nittymaki ending up in Ottawa as a backup to Anderson or going to Toronto if they have another major injury to Gustavsson/Reimer. Auld has been terrible for Ottawa, Nitty would do a better job of pushing Anderson. What about the possiblity of the Sharks trading BOTH Greiss and Nitty? I would think Tampa Bay and Columbus would be interested in a young goaltender with Greiss’s numbers and salary. That would then resolve the logjam in Worchester as Sateri or Sexsmith would come up as a backup.
Totally on board with you guys if you black out the DOH site tomorrow re: SOPA.
Mark Bell back in the NHL!
Great podcast as always. Not sure if you guys pay attention to the Marek vs Wyshynski podcast but, according to Marek, a number of teams have been expressing interest in Ryan Miller and the Sharks are apparently among the teams interested. I’m not sure what to make of that, but on today’s show Wyshynski thought that it made the most sense for San Jose. Thought it was an interesting thing to pass on
