post DOH 329 – DB22 Farewell

The Sharks handily beat the Rangers in what was likely Dan Boyle’s last game in San Jose.  Of course he scored. And the Sharks continue to nip at the heels of both the Ducks and Kings, it will likely come down to the last game or two before playoff position is set.

Kudos to the Dudes for keeping their word. Great to hear some game analysis. I agree with Doug that Dallas does not seem built for the playoffs. Would be fantastic to have Hedican on. And Maddy too, if you can manage to book her.

  2. R says:

Regarding Hedican not getting Sharks TV gig…I seem to recall reading somewhere that he didn’t want to do all the travel required due to family reasons. Might be why he hasn’t gone on all the road trips this season and guys like Dave Maley and Kyle McLaren step in on the radio side sometimes. If you ever get him on you can ask him.

  3. Rosevelt says:

Best DOH interview ever. Funny to think the Sharks could potentially go the Finals if they were in the East, but might lose in the first round in the West to the eventual Cup champ. I think the Pacific Division playoffs will be the toughest in the league. James is right, nice to hear talk on specific games. I wonder, do the Dudes think Thornton deserves to be nominated for the Selke? Go Sharks!

  4. Kent Bunn says:

The suggestion that Hedican is going to get another offer from another team/market is absurd.

He didn’t move to CA for the Sharks. He moved to CA for Kristi, and the Sharks gig was just gravy.

  5. Havoc says:

Would like to hear the Dudes discuss possible returns for Marleau in a potential off-season trade. He’s on a playoff-bound team yet somehow has hit a staggering, career-worst -22. Marleau has a short list of acceptable trade teams and a massive contract. I suppose the Sharks could retain a chunk of salary. Is that where this is headed? Or will he be on the roster until next year’s deadline?

  6. James says:

How about DeMelo playing the best game of his career against the Kings last night. Tied for a team leading 26 shifts, over 20 min TOI, +2, 3 blocked shots.
