Episode 1 - The Draft

This is the inaugural episode of the Dudes On Hockey podcast, released on June 25, 2008. Mike and Doug talk about the recent NHL draft, how the Sharks did, who the winners and losers were in the draft, and how the complexion of the Pacific division changed. Also, they look forward to the start of unrestricted free agency on July 1, and weigh the Sharks options, including Brian Campbell, Patrick Marleau, and more.

Well done guys. Seriously. I’ve listened to Garner and Freitas do their podcast and wanted to tear my closely cropped hair out (piece by piece). Sounds like you guys actually have real microphones and also (conveniently) know how to have a conversation.

Thanks for the kind words, squid. Yeah, the iTunes link isn’t working yet because the submission process takes a while. I’ve heard it could be up to 6 weeks, which would be sort of defeating the purpose. You can still subscribe with iTunes using the the lower “RSS Podcast” link. Right-click on that, pick “Copy Link Location” or “Save Shortcut”, then in the iTunes software do Advanced->Subscribe to Podcast, and paste the link, which should be “http://dudesonhockey.com/?feed=podcast”. Then you automatically get the next episode whenever we release it. We are going to try out best to keep it on a strict Wednesday schedule, so even if you have trouble subscribing to the feed, you can always visit us here then.

Awesome!
Great show! You guys have good chemistry and know your Sharks and hockey. High marks for being entertaining too. Also, your announcer’s voice is phenomenal. Keeper! Got to go now I want to beat the lunch crowd at Hooters.
