Love this podcast. Agree with that the team is outworked all the time. Take the A off Karlsson’s sweater. What an embarassment. I suspect this season will cost PDB his job but he’s not to blame.

  2. WillR says:

“Is Timo Meir a new parent? Because he sucks too (right now).”
    A+

I don’t understand what has happened to Vlasic. Two years ago, he was considered top five best defensive defensemen in the league. Last year, his game fell off a cliff. It rebounded a bit in the playoffs, but again, this year, his playing is woeful. Did he just get old all at once? Does it have something to do with Karlsson (Erik, not Melker)? Can you guys do a deep dive into his struggles? The idea that he’s barely a third-pairing defenseman at this point–I just don’t get it.

Best thing about this season is the Dudes weekly podcast drops! Great going Dudes! Help us through this!

People forget how much Pavelski’s captaincy changed this team. The ’19-20 Sharks look like the ’14-15 Sharks. That was the year before Pavs was named captain and PDB came in.

I respectfully disagree with Doug that this is the same roster as last year’s WCF team. The roster lost Pavelski (38 goals), Nyquist (60 points), Donskoi (+10, 37 points), and Braun (average TOI 20 min). 4 of 18 skaters. That’s 22% of your starting lineup.

  6. Tom says:

Agree Travis. And at a basic level those are all veteran players that fill roles in the roster even if they aren’t scoring. The “let the kids play” movement was a failure to start the season. I think that’s why Marleau settled things down a bit. It slotted people again at least a little more correctly.

  7. Heather says:

Following the Jets game there can no longer be any doubt some kind of goalie move is necessary. I’d start by using ever salary cap dollar available and a pick to sign a legit veteran backup and putting Dell on waivers, then assigning him to the Barracuda when no one claims him. DW has been making great moves for years, but to overlook goaltending this offseason was a huge mistake. Love the dudes! Go Sharks!!!

  8. Tom says:

    How deep does bottom go??

How long till DeBoer gets fired??

How long until DW is forced to make a move with this roster? ?

I think we’re going to find out the answers to these questions a lot sooner than later because this team looks completely lost.
