not sure where to post questions, so i’ll ask here.
I had heard some years ago that Doug Wilson tried to sign Zdeno Chara, but SJ isn’t exactly a place that players flock to. Hence, Doug Wilson has to give out these sweetheart long term, no movement contracts. Is there any truth to this that you know of?
Also, with the way the Sharks played with a health Erik Karlson last season, and the sharks horrible track record of first round picks, I think Doug Wilson absolutely made the right decision.
Thank you guys for still putting out content in these times.

That kid was already a participant in the rookie camp. I believe that’s why the sharks had the inside shot at him.

A random thought. What if we traded for Mike Hoffman and then…. just stopped right there!

Dudes – first time commentor, long time listener.
I always have give you both a pass when I listen to a two week-old podcast in which your pronostications did not come true. You both are very entertaining and I enjoy keeping up with my team having Bay Area roots.
Your last podcast regarding the “New Sharks” was lacking a bit on the facts. Per a few articles actually Brinson Pasichnuk signed with the Sharks because he was impressed with the organization based on prior Summer Camp experiences and the individual attention he received. Rumor has it his brother Steenn has also joined the Sharkd organization.
John Leonard was not a Free Agent signing as you indicated but a 6th round draft choice for the Sharks in 2018.
Again I enjoy the show and look forward to your weekly podcasts until the NHL returns in 2022. Thanks!

Please keep recording. Some possible topics:

    – format for a brief playoff

    – who will be the Sharks goalie next year?

    – will July 1 still be free agent day?

    – who will be the coach next year?

    – which big contract is most likely to be traded: Vlasic, Burns, Jones, Karlsson, Kane

    Thank you Dudes!

  6. Tom says:

You better believe DW is gonna trot out Martin Jones next year like he’s some kinda Jedi who can just wave his hands in front on the face of fans. He’ll probably even make some statement about “we believe in our goalie”… lmfao
