It’s interesting to me that you guys feel that DW wants a skill 4th line, while most fans on FTF site the last several years think DW wants “face punchers” on the 4th line. Nobody was happy with Haley, or Melker, and this year Sorenson and Gabriel seem to be the targets of ire. Does this speak to a lack of identity on the 4th? I think I’m with Doug. I would like to see a 4th line that brings energy and physicality. Is 3 guys in the 15-20pt range that get under the other team’s skin too much to ask? Also, I like the 3rd line of Gambrel, Donato, Leonard even if they need to convert more. But, I’d really like us to find a 3W/3C that can give us 30-40pts, PK, dish out hits, and drop the gloves when need be. When is the last time we had a player like that who wouldn’t take any BS? The team would be more enjoyable to watch and easier to pull for if you could see a little more nastiness and fight in their game.

    Hey dudes!

Time to talk trade and Seattle draft protection!

    1)

Of the players with NMC’s in their respective contracts (Vlassic&EK65)

And M-NTC’s in theirs ( Dubnyk10team, Jones 3team, Burns3, Hyrtle3,Kane3, Cooch3. – not applicable for the required draft protection but you assume they hold value there vs protecting others

And 1st&2nd year players being automatically protected (Ferraro and Kynezoff)

What 8 skater 1 goalie asset protection do you foresee vs. 7 skater 3 defensman 1 goalie asset protection do you foresee.

To me it seems that if you expose simek you can protect Meir, Lebanc and Donoto and Gambrell and have better trade value or what have you later next yr. (fan of the 10 player protection vs. 9 player protection)

The only contract players that require protection (if they opt not to waive it) i
    Are Vlassic and EK65.

I used the cap friendly Seattle draft simulator tool after having read the rules and reviewed all the caveats.

    2)

Seeing as how Barclay Goodrow – the Swiss Army knife – was traded for a first rounder, – and rightfully so, 3rd n 4th lines win Stanley’s shot glass. Ie. 2016 sharksvspens

What young guns do you think could package us similar picks now that we’ve seen that these guns in action.

  3. Mr Stanley says:

    Hey dudes,

If I was Bob the Boogeyman bougner, I’d live up to my name by icing the most brutal team of all time. I want every free agent that’s 230lbs plus and defensively minded to round out the bottom 6 and 4 pairings on Dfense.

The ST Louis Bruise had there way with us in the WCFinals and it’s time to get heavy.

This idea of a faster run and gun offensive Dfensman style of hockey is antiquated 2 years into the making. In a best of 7 playoff series, the sport is still ice hockey. And the toughest team wins.

We need to reward points per dollar paid. That’s the new stat. Expose anyone who can’t pull there weight in the top 6 top 2 and then reward blocked shots, hits, and only sign goalies built like japanese sumo wrestling gods.

Bam! ? Cup in San Jose!

    Ps.
    Alright I’m done I promise
