To anyone who said that Joe Thornton isn’t a big game player….it’s time to eat some humble pie. #1 Star and perhaps…just perhaps…the biggest goal in Sharks franchise history when you think of the consequences if the Sharks lost this game.

Thornton’s goal was great. Hopefully it gets that monkey off his back (if he’s even been feeling one), but I want to recognize the guy who lit a fire under the Sharks late in the game… yup, Devin Setoguchi. When Sets flew down the far boards at Mach 2 to negate Langkow’s clearing attempt and setup Cheechoo’s tying goal, you could almost actually see the ice tilt toward Calgary’s end. The whole team began playing w/ the speed they’ve been missing the last few games.

  2. Brian Boitano says:

Seto was the catalyst last night. Wicked awesome. Totally agree, GHF.

Forgive me Father grier, for I have sinned against Jumbo Joe. I take it all back.

How about that. Ryane Clowe leading the playoffs in points and goals!
