That’s right Sharks fans. Mike and I have scored an interview with ESPN analyst and NHL Live co-host, E.J. Hradek, on Wednesday’s podcast! We will be talking to him about the Sharks moves at the trade deadline and his insight on the Sharks as we move toward the playoff push! We met E.J. back in February when we went to New York to see the Sharks play the Devils and he offered to be a guest on our show – and is a man of his word.

As for tomorrow night in Phoenix, the Sharks should continue to roll and pick up an easy two points. Phoenix is done, finished, wounded, beaten, depressed, atrophied….okay, you get it.

Phoenix has lost eight out of its last nine and they haven’t scored more than two goals in a game since February 21 vs. LA. I don’t think any of this is going to change – it should be an easy two points that I don’t think the boys are going to take for granted. With Detroit at home with their hands full with the Flyers, the Sharks can take the opportunity to get back the first seed.

Talk to you Wednesday with E.J Hradek!

I’m not so optimistic. I also thought we’ll take easy points from the Blues the other day, and what happened?

Congrats on the interview, however. Look forward to hearing him talk about the Sharks.

  2. Tomi says:

wow congrats guys! I’m really excited for this week’s podcast, now even more than usual!

  3. I think there’s a big difference between the Blues, who are determined to get a playoff spot, and the ‘Yotes, who are thinking about their tee times in mid-April. We’ll find out tomorrow.

  4. Pher says:

I have to agree with Doug on that Blues comments those guys work hard and are likely to be in the playoffs if they keep up their current pace. I think of them and CBJ as being around the same danger level.

I can’t believe you guys are getting EJ on your show, it’ll be nice to hear a major commentator give us a little sharks breakdown. Seems like we’re rebuilding our play one step at a time which is great. If we can get our PP working next we’ll be riding the gravy train before long.

  5. Ruben says:

    Congrats guys!

  6. Tomi says:

more like if we can get out Even Strength Play working

  7. Ian says:

Great Job on the podcast guys can’t wait to listin.

  8. Brian Boitano says:

Two words after tonight’s game: rock bottom.

  9. I gotta disagree, my figure skating friend. The Sharks fought their way back tonight only to get totally robbed by the ref. If it goes to overtime, we win this game – no question.

I was pissed at how it started, but they showed a ton of heart in coming back and refusing to let the Coyotes embarrass them. I’m not broken yet.

  10. Ivan M says:

Turns out there was not that much of a difference between Blues and the Yotes. Same old problem we’ve seen for weeks now – Sharks come out half asleep and dig too big of a whole for themselves early on.

While I agree the penalty should not have been called, it’s our own fault that it came to this. The way no one could handle Doan was embarrassing, but to me the game was lost in the first period.

Yet another game where Seto was as effective as Shelley. Coaches clearly don’t like what they’re seeing from him – 14 minutes of ice time, and Cheech getting plenty of time on that first line. Seto needs to wake up. If Cheech starts scoring again, he may lose the spot on the top line for the rest of the season.

  11. Mr. Plank says:

    Congrats on the interview dudes!

  12. bcyde says:

Ivan, IF Cheech starts scoring again, I’m fine with Seto losing his spot on the 1st line. As long as there’s an effective RW on the 1st line I don’t care who it is.

It may be good to have Seto realize that to be on the top line he needs to consistently bring his “A game”. Consistency was the reason he was sent down last season, maybe the complacency was starting to kick in again and he needs the kick in the pants to get his motivation back.

greir… I think that it’s time to stop the predictions. You were spot on earlier in the year. Now… not so much.
