You may remember EJ from episode 38, and he’s back again. This time EJ Hradek of ESPN and NHL Live fame comes on to break down the Sharks first-round loss to the Ducks. Also, the inevitable questions are asked and answered about what specific needs the Sharks have, and where they might go from here.

  1. […] out this weeks podcast, where ESPN’s EJ Hradek breaks down the Sharks and what went wrong. Some extremely interesting observations by EJ – that […]

  2. Jeremy says:

One of the defensemen you left out of the discussion is Beauchemin. He would fit behind Boyle as the number 2 rather nicely. The further the Ducks get in the playoffs, the higher his value gets as well, but it’ll be interesting if Niedermayer comes back to see whether Beauchemin is content being a number 3 guy. Or does Montreal throw a ton of money his way to make him a number 1, and let Komiserek go.

  3. Mike says:

The Ducks have too many good D to remember them all :-).

And I personally wouldn’t rather have Beauchemin than Komisarek, but I know how much the Quebecois love the French-Canadians…

  4. Doug says:

I think the issue would not be Doug Wilson’s interest in either Beauchemin or Komisarek, but the Sharks inability to lure any top-level UFA to San Jose. This topic I’m sure will be hit on further as the weeks go.
