Game Three is coming, can you feel it? I expect a rowdy contest tonight with the Avs looking for a little payback for the big hits dealt out by Blake and Murray during this series. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if someone took a run at a Sharks player tonight and early to set the tone.

Mike and I are doing a podcast tomorrow to recap our thoughts on Games 1-3 and the other series around the NHL and it should be live on Monday night. Go Sharks!

I hope they do try to run a Sharks player and I hope it backfires in their face like a child trying to take a bite off a freshly microwaved jawbreaker.

Well, it’s official. We’ve pissed off a diety somewhere because this is getting out of hand.

Many possible ways to interpret this game. For starters, to me this was the most entertaining game of the series so far. Anderson — wow. Hat’s off to him. But more importantly, GO sharks. I mean damn. I think that’s the best we’ve seen them play in several months. The CSN guys were saying that Anderson’s performance wasn’t Hilleresque because “Andy” could see most of the shots. I disagree. Anderson stole the show and was the best player on the ice tonight. But the Sharks as a whole showed that they truly are a superior team. Thank Jesus Mary Magdalene Abra-ham sandwich that this isn’t baseball and they play the first round as a 7 game series.

Win or lose, the Sharks keep playing like this and I’m a happy camper. And as a side note as a general hockey fanl, these playoffs thus far have been more than epic. Let’s go phoenix baby. Definitely the easiest team to root for, and with some emotion, in the event that the Hockey Gods continue this teal diarrhea over the Sharks faces.

I’ll tell you one thing. I’ve never gloated over another fan base. But Avs fans right now are ridiculous. If the Sharks pull this out I’m fuking going off.

The Avs suck so bad. I can’t believe they are a PO team. I’ve never seen a team get so lucky in all of sports. Have any of you.

During the post game interview someone asked Joe Sacco how he felt about his team being up 2-1 in the series even thought the Sharks had three game winning goals. He couldn’t say much, just half smiled and said “we’ll take it”‘

He can’t feel good about the way his team is getting dominated. His game plan is what, expect Anderson to save every shot and then rely on that magnet they hid in the puck to draw it in to the net??? Seriously. How the fuck has this team won two of three???

Well after a nights sleep I am still in serious disbelief as to what happened last night. The thing is though it does not really bother me too much I still think the sharks will win the series. The only worry I have is its now going to be a 6-7 game series. Thankfully with the way the playoffs have gone I don’t think anyone is escaping round 1 with any rest. I’m not mad at Boyle at all if I was forced to pick a team from this group of players he’d still be my first pick. In fact it could not have happened to a better guy, because Boyle is going to rebound from it better then most of the other guys may have.

The top line needs to be better, the second line is playing much better and seemed to be drawing the better checking unit, this is something the first line has to capitalize on, we can’t get far if they can find a way to put the puck in the net. Thank god for the energy guys though I don’t want to think of what the series would be at with last years roster.

Oh and I am never making a who will score OT Prediction ever again.

Something I forgot to mention and maybe the most important thing. I don’t think we have ever played with a lead in this series in order to win this obviously has to change.

Yeah, the Colorado media isn’t much better, either. I couldn’t believe that cutaway to the Avs dressing room where the reporter was trying to convince O’Rielly that his team deserved to win. Even he knew that they got steamrolled.

Big ups to Nabby in the postgame comments again not hanging his teammate out to dry. Just a little more balance with the offensive approach, maybe trying a few more “through the box” passes and tic tac toe plays to catch Anderson out of net, but overall, is there really much more regarding “thre process” that the team can do? Unlike most, I am a little worried as the Sharks have lost a game they clearlyl should have won and lost another game that was a coin flip. As overmatched as Colorado is, they only now have to earn 2 more wins in this series. A bad game by Nabby here, a hot game by Duchesne or Stastny there, and they will walk away with an undeserved series win. Still, if the better team wins the series, it will be the Sharks, no doubt about it.

  7. Ruben says:

Wow, I can’t wait for the podcast now…

Good luck with that, dudes. Even if the Sharks lose this series, I can’t imagine there being a more somber podcast than the one coming up.
