post Celebrate Two Losses in a Row and 100 Episodes With Us Tonight!

I’m not going to dwell on it and we’ll certainly cover it tonight on the podcast, but the Sharks were outclassed last night. We were hoping to record our 100th episode tonight under more jovial circumstances, but as they say, the hockey fan podcast must go on!

We will be recording our 100th episode tonight at Coach’s Sports Bar on Winchester Blvd. in Campbell tonight at 7pm and you’re invited to join us. So in the comment thread, share with us your thoughts on the depressing Game Two and throw in your favorite moment from the first 100 episodes of Dudes on Hockey. As always, this blog and podcast are nothing more than two dudes talking to each other without your feedback.

Go Sharks and look for #100 tomorrow!

    I’m worried now.

And I’m not going to miss Nabby at all next year. If I have to watch another puck slide through his gaping 5 hole (does that turn you on, sailor) I’ll tear my eyes out. I’m trying to remember when he had a game like Niemi’s game one, where he was barraged by a skilled team but completely stole the game. Too many soft goals…. I feel like that’s been the book on him for at least two seasons now. He needs to keep us in the game, especially against a team that is as good if not slightly better than us.

Last night I dreamed that I was watching the Sharks lose game 4, and just like that it was all over. In this case, I sure hope my dream does not come true.

Dudes# Please tell us why Wallin is playing over demers………..

The theory is (was?) that our beloved Hamburgers is superior defensively. But after being -2, taking a penalty, and committing some memorable giveaways in only 9:29 of ice time, I don’t think we’ll see that in game 3. I predict Ortmeyer or possibly Helminen.

  3. Bryce says:

Sharks need to be rolling 4 lines. First two games with 7D didn’t work out so well, and last night was more proof, that we need all the speed that we can get.

  4. jeremy (OSF) says:

In the battle of Man vs. Food…

    Hossa > Hamburgers

That was so difficult to watch.

Favorite podcast moment was hearing my song come on the podcast, ha!
Bring home the cup! ohhhh OHHH
ALL THE WAY TO SAN JOSEEE!!!!
We bout spent to the cap; ronnie watch you think about that,
gotta long summer for your handicap!!

Too many classic one liners and run-on jokes from you guys to pin down any specific favorites.

  5. Ian says:

They have to shuffle the lines again, the second line has cooled off so they can tamper there a little bit. I think Jumbo is playing great but I feel that his line mates are hurt, Marleau does not have any wheels at all and I don’t know that Heatley has recovered fully from whatever it was that hurt him earlier and it feels to me that no one on that line wants to really get to the dirty areas. I’d like to maybe see Seto playing with Jumbo. Dudes what lines would you go with?

  6. Ant From Oz says:

Congratulations Dudes on your 100th episode, i’ve listened to everyone of them and there have been to many highlights to single out any one. Never have i listened to an episode and not had a laugh, i especially like the use of your sound effects (oooeeeewwww).
Thanks for all the effort you guys put in, your podcast provides me with most of my information even if some of the stuff Doug sprouts is not entirely correct from time to time…..
Keep up the great work, i look forward to the next 100 and hopefully one day i can make my way north of the equator and join you guys for a post game beer.

  7. The Balls of Hogzilla says:

Fuck Chicago and fuck all the east coast pundits who want to see them win it all. They call the Sharks chokers? Chicago is such a storied franchise winning a cup back in 61 and all. Maybe we aren’t the ones due? 50 years Chicago? Seriously… that’s a long time.
