The draft isn’t until tomorrow, but plenty of stuff has happened in the NHL this week. Mayers, Nichol, and Yawney will not return, but Seto will, at 3 years, $9M. The dudes dissect that deal, and the two monster trades the Flyers made today.

I am legitimately excited about the acquisition of Brent Burns, and he is pretty damn close to what everyone has been looking for. I have to imagine that they would like to pair him with Boyle despite the dual right-handed shots. The D, as they stand now, seem like a pretty good group.
The price was a bit steep, but Wilson definitely improved the team in the immediate future. If Burns plays well and they are able to extend him, no one will think this price was too much.
However, I am holding out the belief that Pavelski will still be the third line center.
