  1. Cyoor says:

Tonight EVERY single team that we are fighting against for a playoff spot got one or two points, and the sharks didnt.
Im not sure it is as good a coinflip chanse for the playoff spot anymore if they let this happen.

  2. James says:

I admire Doug’s optimism, but don’t share it. Let the TMac countdown begin.

  3. Haie says:

You posted this a little too early. 2 completely garbage performances against our rivals, while the teams were competing with are playing like these games mean something. Wanna know what’s more disturbing then the la game last night? Watching the Dallas and phoenix game before that. Those two teams want it so much more than us.

  4. Ian says:

I try to be somewhat positive and avoid going to the dark side and simply saying that everyone should be traded, fired and in some cases shot but I can sum up last nights game in one word.

    Disgusting.

  5. Ruben says:

For sure, I try to be really optimistic about this team, especially with their possession numbers and shot totals suggesting they are better than their record.

But when it got to 4-2 last night, it was the first time I seriously thought “holy shit, this time might not make the playoffs.” The team was so bad that Jeremy Roenick couldn’t even pick on Patrick Marleau because EVERYONE was terrible.

  6. MJ says:

The Kings were all over the Sharks last night, like stink on the LA river. You know Sutter was secretly basking in every last drop of that glory.

At least the off-season will be an exciting one…..if McLellan makes it that far.

  7. Haie says:

Ruben I agree you. And even when Mitchell and co. took those penalties it reminded me of game 4 against Vancouver in the playoffs when we gave up those 5 on 3’s; and you knew on both occasions that we were just sunk. There is still a chance we can turn things around, and I hope we do just for prides sake, but if we don’t make the playoffs this la game and the power play we gave them were the end of our season to me. And the final goal nemo give up was embarrassing. I know we’re feeding him cabbage but I’d like to see one of our younger goalies, like stalock, in the mix next year. this season is a nightmare, but go sharks anyways.
