re: Havlat, hope you guys bring this up this from Kurz next week:
“In what could be perceived as a sign of frustration from the organization, Havlat was given a temporary locker stall in the Sharks’ dressing room at their practice facility between games six and seven against the Kings. To put that in perspective, AHL call-ups Freddie Hamilton, Alex Stalock, Matt Pelech and Matt Tennyson all had regular locker stalls.”
If that’s true, that’s bush league on the part of “the organization.”
I keep having this argument with my buddy and you guys kind of touched on it but don’t you think Burns is being overpaid to just be a forward? Granted he had a good year at the position skating next to Thornton and TJ but 5.7M for a Power Forward who we traded Seto, Coyle and a 1st Round pick for seems like a steep price. It didn’t feel so bad when it looked like we were getting an Elite puck moving defenseman which are rare in the league. We need to remember that Boyle will not be around forever and we’re going to need that offensive prowess on the back end once he’s gone. I think his development should continue as a defenseman.
