The preseason has started, with the Sharks playing a split-squad game against Vancouver. It’s way too early to get any questions answered about this team, but that doesn’t stop the Dudes from guessing.

    Vancouver just placed Jacob Markstrom on waivers. Anyone think we should grab him, we’re pretty thin in G depth.

      I would pass. There was a lot of hype around this guy when he was drafted but I’m not sure based on his resume thus far that hes ever going to live up to it.

    Late last season on MvsW they interviewed someone high up w/ the AHL, and the impression he was giving at the time, was that within the next year or two there would be some sort of West Coast option for teams, so they aren’t shipping players so far.

    One has to assume that it wouldn’t just be a new affiliate for the Sharks out here tho, since Worchester isn’t just an affiliate, but they are owned by SVSE. Not like you’re going to own some other teams affiliate on the other side of the country, after the dust settles.
