    Great podcast dudes!

  2. Max says:

If the Sharks can just stay in the Pacific Division hunt until January, I really like their playoff chances. Getting Couture and Torres back is going to make a huge difference. Now they just need to figure out how to win at home, which starts with special teams.

    • Ruben says:

Gotta agree with Max. Probably drinking the kool-aid of a 3 game with streak, but at full strength our bottom six is Hertl, Donskoi, Tierney, Wingels, Nieto, and Torres. There is grit, there is offensive skill, there is defensive skill, and there is no Brown or Haley or McCarthy.

I think we are still a top 4 Dman away from elite, but every team but Nashville, Chicago, and Tampa Bay can probably say that. And each of those teams except Tampa have their own shortcomings (forward depth).

      • Teddy says:

I’m also excited by the road wins. How good has Karlsson been! I disagree with Doug about Donskoi. I think he’s looked good, especially considering he’s being played on left for the first time in his career. Even when they get everyone back, it definitely feels like the team needs 2-3 more players if they want to make a deep playoff run, especially a 6th D-man. And if the Sharks don’t get more confidence in Stalock, Jones will be exhausted come April.

        • Max says:

          Sharks now 8-0 with Hertl / Tierney centering 3rd / 4th lines.

          • James says:

Like everyone here, of course I am loving the win streak. Kurz said it well that the Sharks are playing a full 60 minutes. I also love that PDB rewards the players who are hot, like moving Donskoi up to the 2nd line against the Pens.

Not to rain on the parade, but am I the only one concerned about the lack of roster depth leading to fatigue late in the season, or playoffs if they make it? Vlasic played just under 29 minutes tonight, Braun 28, and Jones is tied for the league lead in starts in his first year as a starter. The lack of roster depth needs to be addressed, especially on the blue line.
