Was this a livestream only? I didn’t get it in my podcast feed and cant seem to find any download for the mp3 file.

I don’t quite understand why the Dudes are so sanguine. Did we create all that cap space so we could spend it on overpaying Thornton for the year and sit on the rest? How did Doug go from “Don’t resign Thorton” to “I’m ok with it.” I criticize DW for not landing O’Reilly, JVR, or Neal. The Sharks have a golden opportunity to make it back to the Cup Final this year. Their division is the weakest in the league and the West has no clear favorite. Here’s hoping they are not done dealing before the season starts.

Wouldn’t hold out hope for a big name. There are other teams that need Karlsson way more than SJ, i.e. the Stars. I don’t really see how the Sharks would want to give up the major assets required for wingers like Panarin or Pacioretty. We’re already good at the top-6 LW position, so it’s especially bad luck neither of those available players is a natural RW. Perhaps Hertl could move to the other wing.
Simmonds and Wheeler will probably resign. Matt Duchene strikes me as a classic Wilson target. Buy low, etc. Couture could be the #1 center, Duchene the #2, Tierney #3. Duchene says he wants to stay in Ottawa, but don’t you think he’d jump at the chance to play for the Sharks and be on a winning team?
