I love the Richard Sherman quote about 49ers players like Mostert, the RB for the 49ers who was cut by 6 other teams. He’s an average player elsewhere, but for that offense, an all star because he fits perfect. I feel that way about Pavs and Burns. Without each other, and in the wrong offense for their skills, we are seeing them play just average. If Pavs were on the Sharks this year, his numbers would be way up. He needs Burns (and Karlsson would have helped too). Still bizarre to me that a team built around the best 2 offense-minded Dmen would jettison the best puck tipper of his era. I wonder if the Sharks will try to find someone to fill that role.
