The season is almost upon us, and the Dudes find some optimism, even though the Sharks might not be a playoff team.

Geez you guys…make us wait forever for another podcast, why don’t you??? So glad you’re back! Woot! Excited to hear you gripe, vent, and provide patronizing and self-depricating prattles of hope about the 21-22 season – based on the roster, seems that there will be endless opportunity to do so (and not for just this season, either). Unless Eklund is a Wunderkind, Hill plays like a Vezina finalist and EK65 reverts to form…One can dream, right? You guys are the best! Go Sharks!

Question for the dudes – whose roster would you rather have,, SJ or Seattle?
Seattle’s, no contest. The Sharks will not even be .500 this year. And they are saddled with terrible contracts. Agree with Doug 100%, Sharks should trade Hertl. And anyone else they can. Rebuild around Eklund, Ferraro.

SJ taking advantage of a favorable early schedule. Quote a difference mentally vs the last “normal” regular season schedule, ’19-20, when the Sharks started 0-4 due to a couple of games against Vegas and also played the Preds (who were still good). Much sweeter starting off against Jets and the 0-3 Habs. Gives then some confidence. Toronto and Boston will be a step up in competition.

The Sharks should announce their Evander Kane plans asap. Don’t let this situation grow in the background. Don’t let the team start to wonder and become anxious about what’s going to happen as we get closer to the end of his suspension. And the decision should be he’s not allowed to join the team. Pay him to stay home. Great player. Bad teammate. End of story.
It’s going to be very interesting to see what Wilson does. My wild guess is, if the Sharks start winning again and are looking like a bubble playoff team, they keep Kane away even if it means paying him to stay home. But if the team continues to lose, my guess is Kane comes back because the Sharks want to try to rehabilitate his image and deal him somehow, even with salary retention. Maybe that wouldn’t work this season, but perhaps in the summer or next year.

Heres a reply to my reply because im under the influence and enjoying my miserable self at home where i should be. Dont worry i put away the car keys. This one goes out to the half dozen faithful listeners of this pod. Outside of the dudes the other pods out there blow. Sheng peng? Like some of the stuff they write on that site but that pod blows. Screw ftf. Vox sucks. That place hasnt been the same since matt and plank left. Was it matt and plank? Correct me if im wrong but i forgot the names of those 2 gentlemen becuase it was so long ago. Anyway it friggin sucks i get it. Theres no other sharks podcast to tune in to. Wish the dudes would put stuff out more consistently but you have to keep in mind that mike and doug are human beings and they do this as a hobby type of thing. They got a life outside this free content they provide for us from time to time. They will come around eventually. But yeah love what im seeing so far from some of the rookies. I think i might pick up a dahlen jersey because that kid can score goals. Love the stache. Wish i could rock something like that on my mug. Anyway peace. Go sharks.

I’m a little surprised that you guys managed to keep the podcast alive all this time. Back when I first found it a couple of years into the project, I don’t think there were any other shark casts. Like others have said, this is still my fav. Maybe it’s because it’s because it’s so informal. CERTAINLY helps that there are no sponsors that need to be kept happy and no ads to endure.
What a crazy win that was against the Flames. Like watching Kevin Constantine’s Sharks, There is even a Dahlen on the roster. I find it easy to root for the Sharacuda because they work so hard, smile, and there is no EK65 or Kane. IMHO the Sharks are better off paying both those players to stay home. This team cannot score, but is definitely better at the PK then the last few Sharks teams we’ve seen. This was Hill’s best game. And how about Reiner so far. He sure likes teal. If he had played his whole career in SJ he might have been in the Hall of Fame. As fun as this has been, a lot will change if the organization brings Kane back. That would be incredibly stupid, so we should expect it to happen. 🙂

Well according to elliotte friedman the sharks are desperately trying to get rid of kane. Sharks management would even retain some of his salary if they could find a trade partner but at this rate he may join the team in the near future.
Yeah dimiss my last comment. Dump a giant turd on it and light it on fire. Kanes on waivers and going to the cuda. Thank you hockey guy for the info.
