Landing Celebrini could really turn this around for the Sharks. Be pretty sweet if in a few seasons the Sharks 1-2-3 centers were Celebrini-Smith-Hertl (age 33-34). Of course they also need some D. Agree With Doug, Okhotiuk is impressive so far.

Love this podcast. Been listening for over 10 years.

Someone posted about who is Grier’s best signing. I think it’s Blackwood. He’s got a sub-900 save percentage but he’s playing great. Best goalie we’ve had since Jones’ first year in teal.

If Couture was healthy, this team would not be this far down in the standings. Hertl, Couture, Naslund, Hoffman, Eklund, Ferraro, Blackwood, these are all good players. Zetterland is climbing into that covo too.

Enjoying seeing off-the-radar guys like Emberson, Addison, and Bailey get a shot.

The Sharks are screwing everything up lol. It’s what Doug feared.

I hope the plan is to trade Couture and keep Granlund. Unless someone wants to overpay for him. He’s playing real well and he and Hertl work well as 1-2 centers. The EK65 deal looks quite good right now. Unloaded the big salary, got a first, Granlund (and Rutta).

  4. Nazir says:

Time to officially name Hertl captain.

  5. James says:

Who knows if he can keep this up, but Zetterland is on pace for a 20-goal season. He is a lot of fun to watch. Seeing him shake off Larkin en route to the game-winning play was awesome.

It’s been great watching the team improve. With 39 returning I think the Sharks will win more games. Hopefully he can show he still has it and be flipped at the deadline. I bet we could also trade Granlund, though I love him in teal. Maybe Couture to the Preds and Granlund to the Bruins? I presume Nashville wouldn’t want him back although he’s playing better than any center on the Preds. I would think we could get a second for Granlund and a first for Couture. Sad to see Couture go, but he is better off chasing a cup than mentoring the young core. I would also be fine with keeping Granlund as he has one more year on his current deal. Go Sharks!
