Last year the Sharks were a “tomorrow team”, and now after the signings of Paul Martin and Joel Ward, the Sharks’ tomorrow has come early. The Dudes discuss the moves, whether the strategy is sound, and try to fit the pieces together of a very different Sharks team than last week.

The Sharks used the #9 overall pick in 2015 on Timo Meier, and while lots of big-name players moved the first day, the Sharks were not a part of it. But they did snag a goalie, Martin Jones, from the Bruins.

Mike Babcock has made his decision, and it’s the Toronto Maple Leafs. Todd McLellan actually beat him to the punch in choosing Edmonton, but the question remains- who is still out there, and who will be coaching the Sharks in the fall?

(Fixed) The Sharks end the season with a whimper, losing the last home game and the last game of the season, dropping to the third worst record in the Western Conference. Mike and Doug talk about what could happen next, and dissect Drew Remenda’s comments on the radio shows this past week. But this is still a great time of year for hockey, and the Dudes make their first-round predictions.

The Sharks have rebounded, but it probably too little, too late. With points in their last four games, and a weak schedule to end the season, it’s possible they could still make the playoffs, but the odds are stacked hard against. The Worchester Sharks, however (next year, the San Jose Barracuda) are more likely to make the playoffs. So playoff hockey is most likely coming for Sharks fans either way.
